Magnesium deficiency can be used as a determiner of who will survive and who will have a better or worse outcome from a particular sort of gangrene.

Rather than simply figuring out who will die, perhaps a lab test for magnesium level should be done when a person is diagnosed with that sort of gangrene, and if they are found deficient, perhaps they should give the magnesium as part of their treatment.

A news type of magnesium medication is being used for bipolar, and seems to be fairly effective. 50% of the people taking it in a small study were able to reduce there are other medications. Considering that magnesium doesn't have the side effects that psychiatric medications do, this could be a great benefit to their overall health.

I'm looking forward to hearing more about this and sharing it with you. Remember that you should not start taking any nutritional supplement without the care of your doctor because an excess in one nutrient can cause a depletion in another, either as a cofactor as the nutrient being supplied is suddenly being put where it is needed in the body, depleting other supplies, or an excess like copper which ends up depleting zinc because as antagonists, that is how the body removes excess copper, as two examples.
