Zinc: especially during Covid-19

Zinc plays many roles in the body and the brain. Deficiency causes deaths from Coronavirus. Insufficiency may not show on lab tests, as the body adapts, a physical coping mechanism, to keep the blood level optimum for functioning by feeding the heart, brain, liver, kidneys and other organs correctly. The body is unaware of when a doctor is there to take the lab test required to fi d the deficieny, and continues to keep the deficiency intracellular. It chooses the least-used, and thus seemingly least necessary parts of the body, which is why the procreative organs are most often affected by taking psychiatric medications, as one example. But by lying to the doctor, the body is preventing itself from getting treatment.

Symptoms of zinc insufficiency may be helpful to know how to treat certain people at more risk from coronavirus at this time, but low zinc by reducing glutathione also causes mental illness. Natural conditions such as Pyrrole syndrome and copper overload also reduce zinc levels.

Their results indicated a decrease in blood glutathione, a neurotransmitter, as a specific result of zinc deficiency. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/7241230/

Possible Interactions with: Zinc

St. Luke's Hospital's website lists over 30 medications of five classes which deplete zinc, as well as other types of interactions.

Special note during Coronavirus, Amiloride (Midamor) increases the amount of zinc in the system while it increases potassium - dangerous for people taking ACE inhibitors and ARBs and certain other medications. Nevertheless, for people who don't have a risk of high potassium, could this be used in some cases to improve recovery rates?

Genetic conditions that include zinc deficiency which can cause mental illness as well as many medical conditions can be found via:

Please note that Kaiser Oregon and many other insurances pay Dr Gil Winkelman to do this treatment, so it's medically recognized. https://askdrgil.com/frequently-asked-questions/
